Housemates - Chapter 17

If you see any POV chapter segment with "Jetfire" or "Jetstorm", then I have translated their speech pattern to understandable English sentences.
(Key: Italic text outside of a line of dialogue = the character's thoughts, Italic and bold text is the text replacement for a noise, and finally, Italic text in a line of dialogue means that the character is emphasizing that word/phrase.)
Characters:

Puffle (not in show), Jetfire (crossover from Animated), Jetstorm (crossover from Animated), Devin (aka ROBLOX-puffles, not in show)

The story so far:

Puffle's friend, Devin, decided to visit Puffle in the town. The plane arrived at the airport and everyone got off the plane. Jetfire said that Devin fell into one of his own bags somehow. Will Jetfire realize where Devin is, or will Puffle not see Devin at all during his visit?

(Devin's POV - the next morning)

I woke up in the same dark place I was in last night. "Where am I?" I asked. Nobody answered. I heard what sounded like Jetfire's snoring, so I figured he forgot to put me down after getting me out of the bag. I was paralyzed from my legs down, so I punched what I thought was Jetfire's servo. "OW!" Jetfire shouted, "What the...?" Scrap... I'm not in his servo, am I...? I suddenly realized where I was, but I'm not going to say where. "Jetfire, look down!" I shouted. "Wha...? Who said that?" Jetfire asked, apparently unaware of where I was. I shouted the same thing before I punched the wall again. "OW!" Jetfire shouted. "Wha...? Why am I hearing Devin's voice...?" Jetfire was thinking aloud. Look down already! I punched the wall a third time. "OW!" Jetfire shouted. "Why do I keep feeling pain in the same spot?" Jetfire was thinking aloud again. "Maybe I should go to the hospital," Jetfire said.

(Jetfire's POV - 5 minutes later)

I walked into the hospital. I told the bot at the desk what was going on, and they told me that a docbot would be out to help in a few minutes. (15 minutes later) "Jetfire?" I got up and walked over to the docbot who called my name. "Follow me, please," the bot said. I noticed that the docbot's name was Knockout. It also said he was a former Decepticon who changed sides. I followed Knockout to a patient room where he asked me to lay down on the bed. "You said you were feeling pain near your... fuel tank?" Knockout asked. I said yes, and he asked me if I had consumed a large amount of energon recently. I said no, and he asked me to move my hand. I moved my hand and he tried poking me where my fuel tank was.

(Devin's POV)

"OW!" I shouted as I felt something poke me. I punched where I was poked. "Ow!" Jetfire exclaimed. "Whoa," a voice I recognized as Knockout's said, "what did you eat?" Come on, Jetfire, just tell him the truth! "It's... hard to explain in one word," Jetfire said. "Can you try to explain it?" Knockout asked. Jetfire started to explain the incident to Knockout. (3 minutes later) I could barely keep my eyes open anymore because I was bored enough to take a nap. I yawned quietly and fell asleep.

(Jetfire's POV - 12 minutes later)

I finished explaining the incident to Knockout. "Back up," Knockout said, "You're telling me that this 'Devin' fell out of an overhead bin on a plane and ended up where he is now, and that he needs medical assistance too?" I nodded my head. "There's got to be a way to get him out of there, right?" I asked. "There are three things I can think of," Knockout said, "The first one is having you try to get him out of there, the second one is surgery, and the final one is just leaving him in there unless he can figure out a way himself." "Um... I want to try doing the first one before anything else," I said. (3 tries later) Nothing happened. "Well, what do you want to try next?" Knockout asked. Surgery was going to have to be a last resort if Devin didn't figure a way to get out of where he was himself within 5 minutes. "I want to see if he'll figure out a way himself," I said, "but he's going to have to wake up first." I tried doing the same thing Knockout did to get a reaction from Devin.

(Devin's POV)

"OW!" I shouted as I was poked again. "Will you stop it?!" I shouted. "Sorry, Devin," Jetfire said, "I did it because I need you to help me." "With what? I can't do much in here, especially since I'm unable to move my legs," I said. I had a point. "I need you to figure a way out of there yourself within 5 minutes," Jetfire said, and I agreed to help. (5 minutes later) I was exhausted from everything I tried to do. Nothing worked, though. "I tried, but nothing worked," I said, "You're going to have to figure out another way to get my out of here." What I heard next shocked me. "Looks like surgery's the only option, Jetfire," Knockout said, "Are you willing to do this?" Jetfire, please don't! You don't know what Knockout does to the bots he does surgery on! He's done more than just what's necessary, and I doubt he'll only get me out of here! Jetfire said yes. NOOOOOOOOO! I'm guessing Knockout somehow read my mind when he told me he would only get me out of where I was. I was relieved, even if Knockout doesn't always keep his promises.

(Jetstorm's POV)

I got a call on my datapad from Devin. I decided to answer the call. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey, Jetstorm," Devin said, "I need you to come to the hospital. Don't ask me why." He hung up after he said that. I was wondering what he needed, so I went over to the hospital as fast as I could. (after I arrived) I walked up to the front desk. "Jetstorm, right?" the bot at the counter asked. "Um... Yeah," I said, "Why?" What I heard next shocked me. "Your brother has to go through surgery," the bot said, "I wasn't told the reason why, but I was told that you should be there when he comes out." "I'll do whatever I need to do to help," I said. "Thank you," the bot said, "You may take a seat while you wait." I thanked the bot and went to sit down.

(Devin's POV - 5 minutes later)
=====
I heard Knockout's saw blade whirring. I ducked down as best as I could to avoid getting hurt by the saw blade. (2 minutes later) I was finally out of where I was. Knockout set me down on the table and asked me to help him with repairing the incisions by giving me the tools he asked for, as well as placing the ones he didn't need anymore back on the table. I reminded him that I couldn't move my legs. He said he was aware and asked for a tool. I handed him the tool he asked for, and he gave me the tool he wasn't using. I set the tool down where I remembered the tools usually go from what Ratchet taught me a couple years ago. (after Knockout and I finished repairing Jetfire) Jetfire woke up. "Don't sit up yet!" Knockout warned. Jetfire didn't move yet. "I feel weird..." Jetfire said. "It'll wear off soon," Knockout said, "And thanks to your friend here, I was able to finish the operation quickly."

(Jetfire's POV)

"Thanks to your friend here, I was able to finish the operation quickly," Knockout said. I figured he meant Devin, so I thanked both of them. "No problem, Jetfire!" Devin said. Knockout didn't say anything. "When can I go home?" I asked. "You can go home after I help your friend with his injuries," Knockout said. "Can I sit up now?" I asked. "Yes," Knockout said, "just don't stand up, ok?" I nodded my head. I was too tired to move, so I decided to sleep instead of sitting up.

(Devin's POV)

Knockout picked me up in his servo and brought me to a patient room. He set me down on the bed in it and told me that someone who actually knew about how the human body worked was going to come in soon. I nodded my head. I tried to stay awake for as long as I could. (15 minutes later) Nobody had come in yet. I was barely able to stay awake, and I eventually fell asleep.

(Jetstorm's POV - 1 hour later)

"Jetstorm?" someone asked. I looked toward the direction I heard the voice coming from. The bot who called my name was motioning for me to go over to them with their servo. I walked over to them. "Where's my brother?" I asked. "Your brother was moved to a patient room," the bot said, "and his human friend is in the room across from him." I asked if I could see either of them. I saw the bot's name was Knockout. Knockout said that I could visit Devin, but not Jetfire at that moment. I followed him to where Devin was and he told me to take a seat in the room if I wanted to. I took a seat in the only chair big enough for me to sit in. Devin was awake, but I didn't say anything to him. (15 minutes later) Another human came in the room. "Who are you?" I asked the human. "I'm one of the doctors from the mainland," the human said, "You can call me June." "I'm Jetstorm. I'm one of Devin's friends, and the brother of Jetstorm," I told her. "It's very nice to meet you, Jetstorm," June said, "Have you been taking care of Devin while he's here?" "Yes," I said, "He's been staying at my house." "That's good to know," she said, "But where is your brother?" I told June that Jetfire wasn't allowed to have any visitors and explained the reason to her.

(Same POV - after explaining to June)

I finished explaining why Jetfire wasn't allowed to have any visitors. "Thank you for telling me," June said. She told me to leave the room for a few minutes. I left the room and headed to the waiting room. I was tired, so I fell asleep a few minutes later.

(Devin's POV - 3 hours later)
=====
I woke up to a familiar voice calling my name. I looked around and saw who was calling my name. "You're free to leave the hospital now," June said. I was glad to hear that. I asked her where Jetfire was. "I'm not sure where Jetfire is," June said, "but Jetstorm told me you've been staying at his house."  I was on my feet a minute later and walking out to the waiting room, with a little help from June. I thanked her for helping me get to the waiting room. She only nodded her head before leaving the building to head home. I walked as far as I could to the seat next to Jetstorm, but fell over halfway there. Jetstorm noticed me trying to walk before I fell and caught me in his servo before my face hit the ground. "Thanks, Jetstorm," I said as he brought me over to the seat next to him. "When is Jetfire coming out?" I asked. "I don't know," Jetstorm said. "This is all my fault, Jetstorm," I said, "I'm the reason Jetstorm had to come here." I started to cry. "Don't cry, Devin," Jetstorm said, "I know that you're why Jetfire came here, but that doesn't mean that I'm putting all of the blame on you." "Thanks, Jetstorm," I said. I was still crying because I was worried about Jetfire, and because I was the reason he was where he was.
